Appearance & Packaging

• Visual Appeal 9/10: Like its other options, Turn got this right! Because it’s a Solventless extract, the product tends to be darker than its LR or Botanical iterations. Packaging was a bit difficult to open, however its very much worth the extra effort. And every scintilla of effort just means extra safety.
• Information Clarity 9/10: In reference to clarity, there are some elements that are quite easy to find, like type, name, and strain; but tthere are others about which it could be a bit more troublesome, such as the extraction methods. In testing, this info was initially tricky to locate, but more easily found on all three package types once guided to the info on one of them. The packaging is both considerate of necessary precautions and its environmentally friendly.
• Packaging Quality: 9/10 High quality, eco-friendly cardboard boxes, well-built for a robust shelf life are well insulated with foam to protect your oil the Turn way. Boxes feel a bit like manzanita wood to the touch.

Aroma & Flavor

• Scent Profile: 9/10: The Nose is very pleasant and appealing both pre- and post-inhale. The Interlude fulfilled expectations of the Introduction with notes of earth, pine, semi-sweetness, and slightly spicy scents. These indicate the presence of myrcene, humulene, pinene, perhaps terpinolene, and caryophyllene, The Finish leaves an elevated awareness of freshness and natural terpenes.
• Taste: 9/10: An Olfactory Analysis of this variety yields a very palatable, neutral taste that morphs gently into a bit more spice and pop. The sweetness balances well with the touch of funky skunkyness toward the end. Because its a Solventless makeup, its very smooth and mild on the tastebud, but definitely channels an unmatched effect. Remembering that in human beings, the vast majority of ones sense of taste is interwoven with their sense of smell, and when trained, can become a powerful tool in the recognition, identification, and classification of cannabis cultivars and varieties across the planet.
• Consistency: 8/10 Solventless extracts are often thicker than their distillate and LR cousins, nightshade GMO is no different. The viscosity is a bit high, so use caution when storing the device in your pocket or lying down flat, because it takes time for the oil to reorganize, this is especially true in colder seasons.

Production & Smoothness

• Vapor Density: 8/10 Like Turn’s other pods, the vapor produced is whatever the consumer wants it to be. Remember, Turns penchant for technological innovation takes care of worrying about the temperature of the burn, making it very easy to achieve the desired density.
• Smoothness: 10/10: Its incredibly rare that we decide to rate a quality-related attribute a perfect 10/10. But when we tried this product, we all knew it would be one of the few. This pod is dangerously smooth, so use caution when starting out or when looking for a quick hit. It WILL creep on you.
• Overall Experience: 9/10: Overall, Nightshade GMO holds to the ethos by which Turn operates: Quality for the people through thoughtful innovation and standard-bearing engineering.

Effect & Potency

• Onset and Duration: 8/10 The initial pull resulted in a noticeable headchange and muscle relaxation within 10 seconds. After about ten minutes and five 3-second pulls drom the pod, the experience stimulated both viscerally and cerebrally, creating a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Standard duratuon after ~5 pulls sits at about 1 hour, dependant upon the consumer.
• Potency: 9/10 Nightshade GMO is a cultivar extraction through solventless processing, meaning its made using cold temps and stacked sieves of increasingly fine porosity. This results in one of the purest forms of cannabis that doesnt involve chemicals like butane or propane: Rosin. (Its also called cold water hash, among other monikers). The maintenance and preservation of cannabinoids and terpenes in this process appeals to consumers who prefer a more natural route where Terpenes and Flavinoids are not re-introduced after distillation.
• Desired Effects: 9/10 In consuming this pod, expectations were high because Turn is known for its quality, and we know Solventless manufacturing produces a superior quality product. To that end, the effects were exaclty those for which we hoped: Uplifting yet deeply relaxing; intellectually facilitative and stimulating; and strong. Nightshade GMO accomplished all these criteria and did it with flying colors.

• Contaminants: All contaminant tests passed. 10/10
• Childproofing: Packaging is quite childproof, so you dont have to worry as long as its sealed all the way.10/10

• Price Point: Dependant upon the geographic location of rhe consumer, can range from $20-$60, with graduated pricing for the different classes: botanical, LR, or Solventless. 9/10
• Consumer Experience: The overall experience with NSGMO is one which can only be classified as fantastic! Why? Ease of use, low maintenance, robust design, and strong effects 10/10
• Reusability: The PodPen itself is easily reused dozens of times. Personally, ive gone through over a dozen pods using the same podpen. 8/10
