Appearance & Packaging

• Visual Appeal 9/10: With regard to the appearance of the extract itself, its dark, like burnt amber, but its easily transparent enough to see through the whole chamber.
• Information Clarity 7/10: In reference to clarity, the informarion on the cultivar’s lineage is printed directly under its name. The only drawback to this platform is the lack of labels on the pod itself. Botanical Pods have the strain name printed on them; but the LR and SL pods do not. Rather, they label by type: “100% Live Resin”, and “100% Solventless”, so it is advised that you only keep two pods on you. If you have more than two SL or LR pods open, be sure to keep them in your battery pak or in their respective packages.
• Packaging Quality: 9/10 High quality, eco-friendly cardboard boxes, well-built for a robust shelf life are well insulated with foam to protect your oil the Turn way. Boxes feel a bit like manzanita wood to the touch. Raised printing and new demarcations on LR and SL Pods, like the little Turn logo on the front going from black to Gold or two-tone, for LR and SL respectively.

Nose & Flavor

• Scent Profile: 9/10: A complex scent profile, notes of citrus, earth, perfume, and spice dominate the pallet, but are not overwhelming. The natural and clean odor is immediately apparent to LR and SL aficionados. A pleasant scent reminiscent of fun teenage adventures, its Finish develops nicely after about 20 mins.
• Taste: 9/10: An Olfactory Analysis of this variety yields a very palatable, citrusy, yet neutral taste that encompasses earthiness and sweetness against the backdrop of just a hint of pepper. A well-rounded cultivar that should be enjoyed at least once.
• Consistency: 8/10 Solventless extracts are often thicker than their distillate and LR cousins, Sex & Citrus is no different. The viscosity is a bit high, so use caution when storing the device in your pocket or lying down flat, because it takes time for the oil to reorganize, this is especially true in colder seasons.

• Vapor Density: 8/10 Like Turn’s other pods, the vapor produced is whatever the consumer wants it to be. Remember, Turns penchant for technological innovation takes care of worrying about the temperature of the burn, making it very easy to achieve the desired density.
• Smoothness: 10/10: Its incredibly rare that we decide to rate a quality-related attribute a perfect 10/10. But when we tried this product, we all knew it would be one of the few. This pod is dangerously smooth, so use caution when starting out or when looking for a quick hit. It WILL creep on you.
• Overall Experience: 9/10: Overall, Nightshade GMO holds to the ethos by which Turn operates: Quality for the people through thoughtful innovation and standard-bearing engineering.

Effect & Potency

• Onset and Duration: 8/10 The initial pull resulted in a noticeable headchange and muscle relaxation within 10 seconds. After about ten minutes and five 3-second pulls drom the pod, the experience stimulated both viscerally and cerebrally, creating a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Standard duratuon after ~5 pulls sits at about 1 hour, dependant upon the consumer.
• Potency: 9/10 Nightshade GMO is a cultivar extraction through solventless processing, meaning its made using cold temps and stacked sieves of increasingly fine porosity. This results in one of the purest forms of cannabis that doesnt involve chemicals like butane or propane: Rosin. (Its also called cold water hash, among other monikers). The maintenance and preservation of cannabinoids and terpenes in this process appeals to consumers who prefer a more natural route where Terpenes and Flavinoids are not re-introduced after distillation.
• Desired Effects: 9/10 In consuming this pod, expectations were high because Turn is known for its quality, and we know Solventless manufacturing produces a superior quality product. To that end, the effects were exaclty those for which we hoped: Uplifting yet deeply relaxing; intellectually facilitative and stimulating; and strong. Nightshade GMO accomplished all these criteria and did it with flying colors.
