Jealousy Runtz by Delighted®
Aside from the award-winning characteristics of Jealousy, this strain has come highly recommended from several pro budtenders, so the anticipation is high for this one.
Flavor: To this palate, JR is earthy, nutty, tart, slightly sweet, and very smooth overall. In joints, the characteristic lime (from the Limonene) and earth (from the Myrcene and Linalool).
Onset/Effect: Quick initial onset, heavy effect, semi-sedative but not overpowering. 20 minutes post-smoke, muscles have relaxed, allergies are clearer, and eye pressure is reduced greatly. Duration was a bit lacking, but overall about 1 hour in peak psychoactivity.
Aroma: As an unburned product, she has a sweet, lemony, but also dank earthiness to comprise its aromatic properties. When burned, shes reminiscent of piney, earthy, woody, or musky notes. There is a significant difference between aroma and flavor, which is a bit peculiar in a general sense.
Typically aromas and flavors share myriad coincidental traits, but JR is different. In our estimation it is typically more preferable when these characteristics match, however we are unprepared to unequivocally assert that this is a negative trait in this and in other cases.

Appearance & Texture: A light green flower body, abundantly coated with capitate-stalked trichomes visible with the naked eye. Under magnification (10x, 50x), sessile trichomes are prevalent, with minimal breakage.
Broken open, there’s a touch of purple that rides the stem all the way through the nug. Texture was just a bit sub-par, and by far the worst performing element of this product, which is not to say much that’s negative because the flower is well-rounded.
We docked points here because of the relationship between the density and the smoke. The problem arises in the grind. While the flower was fresh and wholly enjoyable, our analysts nearly unanimously noted that the product ground down too quickly and far too finely. This presented challenges in rolling, but did favor the usage of pipes or bongs.

Chronicler highly recommends using a glass utensil for this cultivar, you’ll achieve a much more rounded experience.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Reviewing Flower Cannabis Products
1. Quality and Appearance:

Terpene Profile: Evaluate the terpene content and its influence on the flavor and effects of the flower. Terp profile is made up of myrcene, limonene, and we what we to be linalool or possibly ocimene. Score 9/10
User Experience: Consider the overall experience of consuming the flower, including any positive or negative effects, comfort, and satisfaction. JR provides an uplifting and stimulating sensation akin to a mild caffeinated beverage without the crash and without the jittery effect. One of our analysts noted a particularly strong creative impact initiated by the strain, lasting several hours. In our experience, cultivars that offer this specific type of stimulation are higher value product because they provide the user with an experience which is not easily obtained for everyone. In this way, we refer to this JR as a rare breed. Score 8.5/10

Most Helpful BT’s Were From:
Delighted is well-known for its superbly rich, complex, and quality flower, and Jealous Runtz is no exception. As a Budtender, here’s some of the key takeaways to share with our consumers:
- As a mid-top shelf product, any price point below $65 is appropriate and economical.
- Jealous Runtz is both a premium and an award-winning lineage, with Jealousy being named Strain of the Year for 2022 by Leafly®
- Runtz is by far one of the most popular strain types for the time being, many of the phenotypes being seasonal, and Jealousy flies off the shelf once people know it’s quality. The Delighted® brand helps tremendously in that regard. That means they’re rare and will have unique qualities compared with future strains.
